For Google Summer of Code 2013, I am building tools for WordPress migration and improving the portability of WordPress installations to help with development or staging copies of sites.

Where to go from here:

  1. Read the proposal
A copy of my original GSoC submission. The game plan has changed from this, and will come in an updated post soon.
  2. Follow my weekly updates
I am required to write weekly updates on the Make WordPress Core site (that opportunity alone is pretty cool).
  3. Find relevant tickets and tasks in Trac
These indicate the status of development and hurdles that arise.
  4. Browse the source
or check it out from the Subversion repository
  5. Follow the behind-the-scenes brainstorming and development notes
Capsule is a pretty great tool for taking notes in Markdown syntax, and I’ll use it for notes for myself; discussion will hopefully happen on the weekly update posts on P2
